Fall 14 DIY - Intro USE

This simple DIY project is showcased in our Fall Feature spread seen in our current Fall 2014 Issue, out on newsstands now. In four easy steps, you can have your very own metal table number!

Fall 14 DIY - Supplies

Start with a trip to your local home improvement store to pick up supplies. Pick out a metal address number with a style you like, your spray paint color of choice, and a metal rod of your desired diameter. We went with a 1/8 diameter rod for our table number and satin metallic copper spray paint.

Using a pair of heavy-duty wire cutters, cut your metal rod to the desired length. Next, drill a hole in your metal address number that corresponds to your rod diameter. The #3 we choose was hollow, so drilling the hole was a snap! Insert the metal rod into your address number. If the fit isn't tight enough, add some glue to secure it. Lastly, spray paint the table number. We recommend at least two coats, depending on the coverage, and found that it worked best to prop the table number upright to paint. The only thing left is to insert your table number into your floral centerpiece and then you're DONE! It's as easy as that!
